Casco Library Homeschool Alliance
The Casco Library Homeschool Alliance was created in response to the needs of local homeschooling families. The library provides space for homeschoolers to connect, collaborate and develop community. We provide a shelf of books that specifically address the needs of homeschoolers. In addition, our librarians actively support homeschoolers’ educational needs through acquisitions and interlibrary loans.
The Homeschool Alliance has generated many innovative and diverse programs. We've found that these programs benefit the entire library community. As an added benefit, many homeschoolers are regular volunteers at the Library. In 2007, the Casco Library was honored to receive the Maine Library Excellence Award in recognition of this unique alliance.
